Ordered red front underbody spoiler

I ordered the red front underbody spoiler for my Black 2018 Civil Si Coupe. I’m not sure I like it in red, opinions? I’m thinking I would like to have it painted black or wrapped black, not sure what to do, I know the wrap would be cheaper, but not sure if it would look as good, or wear well?

Also I’m located in Columbus Ohio and need a recommendation on where to get it painted, about how much would it cost, etc. Thanks!

When you find a good paint shop, let me know too lol. I can't find a good painter for a good price and I'm in KY. I'd willing to drive to OH too.

I'm personally not a fan of the red Honda lip, but at least on an all black car, it looks better and matches the typical black and red stylings of the Si trim. Considering how close the elements and ground the lip will be, getting it wrapped will only last so long before you see if start to decay. I would get it painted to protect it a bit more.

The Si absolutely needs this chin spoiler. That area of the car is the weakest point and the spoiler perfects it. I just got mine installed 2 weeks ago and it really transformed the front end. The dealership that installed it also had a black Si hfp in the lot, and I think the red chin spoiler looked very nice with the black. Personally I’d leave it red

The red lip on a black Si in the showroom is what made me even notice the Civic enough to open the door and sit in one.

imo honda should have made a lip for it in the same or similar style to the ctr lip. that little red thing looks tacked on, and the off color makes it look even worse.

but if u must have it then at least get it painted to match the rest of the car or else it sticks out like a sore dick. everytime i see an si with one on my eyes immediately see that mismatched part and wonder wtf honda was thinking

Thanks for the responses, I'm thinking might keep it red for awhile, and if it I don't like it paint it black. I just hate painting a new painted factory part, but all black imo is the way to go. I also have the black side skirts, very happy with them.

Another vote for leave it red. Definitely looks the best. Painting it black would almost be like canceling it out as far as looks go. Pointless, imo. I need to hurry and install mine.

Leave it red. It makes it pop. You’ll like it once it’s on. I’ve got lunar silver and was hesitant at first on how it would look but once I saw it on I knew I made right choice.

Back to your other question. It looks sharp as a bit of contrast on a black car. I would keep it red, but it;s your car, your choice after all...

Leave it red. It makes it pop. You’ll like it once it’s on. I’ve got lunar silver and was hesitant at first on how it would look but once I saw it on I knew I made right choice.

For me it depends on the car color. The red lip definitely looks best on white(see my garage for examples). I'm not a fan of the red on a blue car. Red and black is almost always a good looking combination.

The hatch sport already comes with a different body colored lip spoiler, I'm pretty sure of that
