Agree - I put a Catch-can on my Si very soon after purchase, and it has remained almost empty.. some months a very slight (drop or two) of water, and a very thin film of oil in the base.
In hindsight, it now looks like it was unnecessary, but it is a convenient way to monitor what might be making it way back to the valves -- maybe the amount will increase as the car engine ages ?
