Thought i would start this thread to give an alternative option to others. Per Bama Dave:

I designed a set for the S2000 community years ago. I just came up with a good design and passed the product to others. They told me to start selling them to others. I'm not in business to make money on this first and foremost. Again I'm passing another idea now onto the FK8 CTR family. Found a great guy that does a good job with this carbon fiber. Randy at www.oldskoolfab.com is the one to contact if you are interested in purchasing a set of rock flaps. If you are included in the group buy of FB please contact him through there. If you have any questions he can answer them. As far as the installation of the flaps you will need 2 5x20 tapping screws that screw into the existing plastic push pins in the front and 1 5x20 tapping screw into the rear plastic flange on the bumper at the bottom. All other mounting points are existing screws that hold the liner to the body. Price shipped is $216.50 that cover all paypal fees too. Colors are Black, Red, White and Blue. But he has many colors to choose from. I will post up pictures of the color later. Thanks Bama Dave
Price is now $275 shipped.

for those wondering here is honda hardware i used:

6 each, 5x20 tapping screws (part no 90114-SE0-A00) and 2 each, 5 mm spring nuts (part no 90331-SD5-003) for the bottom of the rear bumper.
i opted the for the above tapping screws since they have a floating washer for more surface area to secure the rock flap and less chance of cracking them.

In the classified thread a member asked for pros and cons. I auto-x MY18 and the loose gravel in the paddock & grid was my main concern (which eventually make its way on course). see my list below:

pros:
blocks loose asphalt and gravel
carbon fiber
flows with body lines
less obtrusive
mounts to existing clips and current fender liner hardware
no drilling of metal (only plastic 4 plastic fender clips which are replaceable)
no wind noise
not rally inspired :D
survives cones

cons:
smaller

Exactly what makes this “official”? Just trying to determine if there is a formal relation to Honda or not.

Do you need to remove the wheels to install these or can they be done with them still on?

front you can turn the tires, rear i recommend taking the wheels off not unless you have a small right angle drill.

How are they holding up with the cone hits?

Can't find the Facebook page or how to order? Are there photos of the other colors?
