Please read the third line down... last word in sentence that is in bold and underlined. That's an insane 60ft time. On stock tires? You have a timeslip?
Are you still interested in going this Friday?I'm down for next week.
TSP Stage 1.
MPH = [RPM * tire diameter]/[gear ratio * final * 336]I'm not sure what the top of 4th is, but it has to be well over 100. Even if you're up to the point where power is starting to fall over 6000 RPM, interrupting power to shift would hurt you. I tried looking for a top speed per gear table on here but didn't see one. I feel like I was in the mid-80s winding out 3rd... so, yeah, 5th sounds like one gear too far. I recall seeing about 4000 RPM @ 70 MPH in 4th, which would.make me think it's about 110 (actual math works out to around 114)... certainly higher than a trap speed you'd make it to (faster than I'd ever drive).
Love the math. I have written down somewhere, for some reason, the following:MPH = [RPM * tire diameter]/[gear ratio * final * 336]
assuming stock tire of 235/40R18, diameter is around 25.4 inches
@6500 RPM in 4th you would be over 115 MPH
@6000 RPM in 4th puts you at 108 MPH
114 vs 115. Not bad for rough math from an observation of speed vs RPM... since I can use tire size as a constant.MPH = [RPM * tire diameter]/[gear ratio * final * 336]

When cars and motorcycles had speedometers limited to 85 (I think) back in the day I had to estimate my speed from tachometer. What a pain.114 vs 115. Not bad for rough math from an observation of speed vs RPM... since I can use tire size as a constant.
Those were the days. Wasn't that actually a gov't mandated thing for a while? I remember all the cars being like that growing up... at least the domestics. First vehicle I started driving was about an '87 Suburban with an anemic 305. 99% sure it was an 85'er.When cars and motorcycles had speedometers limited to 85 (I think) back in the day I had to estimate my speed from tachometer. Kevin I didn't realize your CVT is faster than mine?! 13.9 !! I know of only one other CVT running 13.88 versus my 14.1That's an insane 60ft time. On stock tires? You have a timeslip?

Your launches seem to be fairly good, but short shifting 1st to 2nd at 6k, will most certainly improve your time. I'd also suggest testing short shifting the 2-3 shift. You really don't need to shift at redline, as this hasn't proven to be any faster for these cars. I'd say 6 to 6.3k is better, maybe even lower depending on the gear. I no lift shift on all my shifts except 1-2, and this shaves off even more time.I hit 96 and change on a couple of different passes last night as well. The TSP Stage 1 has more top end, but I don't know how to use it yet. I'll post some of the fastest speeds and different launch RPMs.
NLS is definitely the next step (or lack thereof), and with the different feel of the top end I'll need to re-learn the sweet spots. Even 'better', I missed 5th. Here's a clip from the TunerView before I figured out I had my camera in SD. I was lined up with a newer STI variant. Slip to follow.
Full disclosure:

Wow! What CVT is running the 13.88 and what is their setup? Been keeping a close on the forums for this.Kevin I didn't realize your CVT is faster than mine?! 13.9 !! I know of only one other CVT running 13.88 versus my 14.1
These Si's are starting to post some decent times.
3150 looks to be too high for launching (too much wheel spin), and shifting at 6500, especially in 1st, is slowing you down. Dropping that 60FT (to at least 2.18) on the stock tires is definitely possible.Back at the track again, and at the very least---it's time for new tires!
Played with a few tunes last night. Here's the 21.5psi Si KTuner basemap (on-the-fly configuration 3), sport mode on, VSA manually disabled, and launch control was set at 3150rpm. I got some unexpected wheel spin combined with a little rev-hang (and my sloppy shifting) from second to third---but the fastest run I've had so far. I was lined up with a Camaro of some kind.
