Had my second oil change today, so I hit the track for a couple of runs. This time was against a brand new Ford Fiesta ST which ran [email protected]. Pardon the terrible reaction time. It was about 65 degrees, tire pressure at 32psi, and was working on quick shifts.

Awesome run for a stock coupe! I have a SI coupe as well and considering how good of a run you made i’m Itching to know what mine can do with my current setup of a +9 tune and mishimoto intake!:thumbsup:

Also, what RPM did you launch at?

The odd thing is I haven't been 'launching' it per se. It seems to like a good brisk start from just under 3k (about 2700) and modulation of the throttle until it's mashed to the floor after 2nd.

I'm starting to suspect the ECU is tuning itself. Maybe a little bird told me it's a new feature with industrial sector vehicles...working to confirm officially. Probably time to do a little homework into Honda's ECM/ECU specifications.

Is your ECU tuned or is it completely factory? Impressive run if factory.

The ECU is factory, no mods, all season tires, sport mode on, and included the traction control disable dance. Straight stock. I'm suspicious that the OEM unit uses AI to optimize air/fuel ratios as the car gains mileage.

Tuning the ECU is an interesting one for me as I design commercial ECM units for vehicle/aerospace. If I can swing it without a serious conflict of interest, I'm going to dive into my own custom solution. My concern is how complicated they are, and the amount of testing required for a safe/legal solution. More to come...

Could probably shave off another .1 sec with the optional summer tires. Pretty impressive.

Probably has something to do with the traction control off dance. Most people who drag their Si probably dont know the dance.

First timer, very hot weather, with girlfriend riding along, luggage, and full tank. So I was really pleased with outcome... Lot of room for improvement I know!

Decided to drop by the 'Late Night Drags' at PIR tonight for a couple of runs. Traction control disabled (pedal dance), A/C off, sport mode on, 3/4 tank of fuel. Sorry for the video, that orange thing is the sun. We don't see it often in Oregon.

Ok, since the weather is changing, tracks across the country are opening up. I thought it would be nice to have an "Official" 1/4 mile thread regarding your day at your local drag-strip.

Please use this format when posting: (example)

CAR: 2018 Si Sedan
MODS: PRL Cobra Intake, Hondata +9 psi, Cat Delete
TRACK: Medford Dragstrip , Medford Oregon 1350ft
1/4m Time: 14.31
MPH: 98.5
60ft: 1.9
R/T: .278

Can add pic of slip for extra credit.

Be Safe & Happy Driving!

What does the pedal dance makes?
Its a series of steps you do involving the brake pedal and the traction control button to fully disable traction control.

Thank you so that means when we disengage the traction control by simply pushing the button, it remains partially activated?
