Only thing I wish was that the H emblem was not pre-attached to the plastic backing/plug! I had to wiggle the one way round clips off the H posts with an Exacto knife so I could remove and paint the emblem and reuse the clips on the posts. Kind of a pain but it worked.
Oh, sorry about that. For most customers it is easiest to have the emblem pre-installed, so that's why it's done. I'm glad you were able to make it work and the final look is awesome.

Yes, it comes with a genuine Honda emblem (not the factory 10th Gen one) that fits the grille exactly. If you like, you can purchase a red emblem elsewhere and use it with the grille. PM me for details if you're considering that.
Looks great! I want to do this but I’m afraid to take the front bumber off.Here is a pic of this grill on a 2018 Si w/Type R emblem. Grill install wasn't too bad but installing the Type R emblem took some effort. I removed the silver emblem provided, then drilled 2 holes to match the prongs behind the Type R emblem. I used the silver washer looking locks that came on the OEM emblem for added security. There is also a gap between the Type R emblem and the black housing so I used extra double sided mounting take to fill those gaps for a flush fit. Unfortunately I don't have any images of those things as I was too excited to install the grill. But here are some before and after pics for you guys. If anything message me with questions and I can help. I would be nice if for the future @procivic would provide the option for Type R emblems for the grill. Either way I'm an EXTREMELY satisfied customer!!! THANKS @procivic!!!

I just got new emblems from Honda to paint black but not going so well so far! I did some adhesive primer first and let dry.. Did black gloss over them lightly. After added more coats it's started to wrinkle up and crap in various areas. I sanded that out hoping it would improve when I paint more but still looking like crap after adding more paint! Uhhh
Thank you! and taking off the front bumper is honestly not that bad. Having another person does help though. If this is your first time taking off a bumper just take it slow and you should be fine. The tutorial they have posted here would be a good place to start.
