I doubt it'll be any cheaper than DreamAutomotive's work, or BuddyClub even; but I totally agree with ya.
I would assume it will carry the "Mugen tax" pricing, but well worth it to me since technically it is an extension of the OEM brand. I'd probably pick up the wheel, mirror caps, and grill covers if released.

I actually like the front lip, in a weird way it reminds me of the V2 lip from the Ver7 STi (bugeye) that I had on my first WRX. No clue why though lol

That rear diffuser is comically bad. Hell with the Mugen tax. I wouldn't put that crap on my car if they paid me.

The grill looks way out of place since it's clashing with the garnish above the headlights. Change that to CF and it would work well. I love that steering wheel though!

The more I see it the more I like it. The only thing that really bothers me is the rear diffuser. The best parts are the steering wheel, graphics and tai lights.

If I have to add to disappointment, I feel like Mugen used to base their look with performance, but this go round, it seems purely based on looks.

Also, the splitter part looks like a sleeve over the existing OEM splitter. It could just be bad angles though...

I think the front and sides go over the oem parts if I'm not mistaken. And of course the grill piece is an overlay.

Wheels and rear diffuser are atrocious. What a disappointing car.

The grill partial covers im digging too. I've always been a full Spoon, or full Mugen guy though. seems almost blasphemous to mix the 2. so its do i like the partial grill covers and visors. or SW388's lol.
