I purchased my spare tire kit from hondapartsnetwork.
Type in your vin or just put in year/make/model, it will come up with a diagram and part numbers/pricing.
Funny, I did that. It doesn't show part numbers for '17 Civic Si Sedan spare tire or the jack. Or the kit thing you got here.

EDIT: Nevermind, it's under "Temporary Wheel Kit" which is in the "Body Air Conditioning" section, which is not where the spare tire and jack are. Odd.

Also, it's batshit expensive.

Just buy a takeoff rim and a nice all season tire, also.

My rims are for sale!

Try doing a eBay search for a Lexus IS250/350 spare.
It's the same 125/70D17 Compact spare tire with the same 5 x 114.3 bolt pattern as a Civic
and will clear the front calipers.

The Civic Si's spare tire size is T125/70R17 98M. The construction type is "R" (radial), not "D" (bias ply).

It doesn't matter if it clears the front calipers since you're not supposed to mount it on the front of an Si due to the limited slip differential.

The T125/70D17 is specified in the owner's manual for the hatchback (except LX and Type R).
The T125/70S17 is specified in the owner's manual for the Si. The part number for this tire is 42751-KEN-010.

There must be some reason two different tire construction types were specified unless there is a typo, but why would Honda have two different part numbers for the same size tire with two different construction types? My guess is that the radial version is safer for the Si while the bias ply version is acceptable for the other models.

I still can't forgive Honda for getting my hopes up about the spare tire by putting that "U.S. model with SPORT mode with optional spare tire" line into the manual...:banghead::crazy::nono::bat:

:) I've yet to give any thought to the spare tire outside of this forum. If/when I have a blowout or fast leak, I'll probably get angry and sell the car. Haha!

I was also upset the 2017 Si did not include a spare. The dealer was of no help to get one for me and simply said "I do not show temp spare for your 2017 Si, thanks" I gathered some info and bought a temp spare pulled from a lower model civic off eBay. It's a 16" spare but it fits fine and will work on the back. (It will not clear the calipers on the front but that doesn't matter since you wouldn't put it there anyway) I threw it in my trunk and am now happy knowing I can be back on the road after I get my unfixable flat.
I just wanted to let everyone know this because it bugged me for a month before I got my Si wondering what I was going to do. Hope it can help someone knowing there's an easy option here.

Thanks for the info. I just bought a spare tire from a same gen Civic on ebay. This seems the easiest and most affordable way to find one. I tried to get the kit through the estore and was turned away also.
Unfortunately, next to the picture of the spare on ebay was pics of a wrecked civic. Poor fellow. One man's loss is another man's gain I suppose.

In the US models, is there space in the trunk to store the spare tire?

It's too shallow. It will screw-in but you have to buy all the components to raise the floor. I plan on just wrapping it in a blanket or something and throwing it in the back of the trunk. Not too worried.

IMO the pain of a front tire blowout meaning two tire changes (donut to the rear and then the rear to the front) made me just get a full-size spare. I just toss it in the trunk and leave it there. Some people leave it out for their daily commutes and only put it in on trips but in all honesty, I don't really ever use my trunk space. It is a bit more pricey but considering the price of the spacer foam, the mat, the donut, the oem tools and still having to change two tires, that's what I went with.
