So, I recently purchased my own 2019 Civic. For Christmas last year I bought my fiancé one and my precious car was on its last leg so I felt the desire to upgrade. Previously, I had a 2009 Altima Coupe in Blue which I replaced with a blue Civic LX.

I am interested in doing what I did to my Nissan, which was very involved under the hood. The parts I wish to replace or upgrade are below as follows.

  • Carbon Fiber Hood, skirts and trunk.
  • Strut bar
  • Intake- replacing with K&N on Monday.
  • Headers
  • Exhaust system
  • Type-R spoiler
  • Forged parts
  1. Pistons
  2. Rods
  3. Pins
  4. Camshafts
  • Suspension kit
  • Rotors
  • Brakes
  • Black taillights.
I know with my Altima that it was a few years before many aftermarket parts were readily available. I was wondering if any parts which I mentioned are available. If so I would love some guidance as where to acquire them. Any suggestions On your personal preferences would be also welcome. Thank you

As someone with a 2017 LX/CVT and ktuner, I drive my car hard and have had no issues with ktuner.

No other mod on the 2.0NA will impress you more and there is no issues with reliability.

How much more fun did your car get with the Ktunner? Mine is CVT too been thinking about getting it too but not sure if it’s worth it

Yeah, get smaller wheels, but don't stop at 16. Smart drivers have always known that the smaller the wheels the more power you put down. And you get a handsome low stance gratis! Why buy a Ferrari if you can just put tiny wheels on your KIA?

If I am correct the 2.0LX is running the K20C2 engine, similar to the Type-R engine. My question is do forged internals for the K20c1 also fit the 2? Are they the same size or can the be used in the LX?

You know I’ve never paid attention, but the Vtec engagement is higher for the cvt. Hmm that’s weird

Out of curiosity, why are you looking at forged internals?

My last engine blew at 120000 and a ten grand car turned to $300 fast. Shitty stock piston caused blowout. Down the line is rather swap out original parts with quality, to keep my car going longer. I do all my work myself, I learned from a young age. I’ve got a lift and did it too my Altima but I turbocharged it so it was necessary. Who knows, maybe down the line I can turbo it. I wasn’t supposed to be able to turbocharge my spec v when it came Out in 09 and I was one of the first to do so. I’m an optimist.
