Just picked up my 2019 Type-R today, winter isn't exactly over here in NY and I'd like to be able to drive the car in less than perfect situations. Ideally I'm leaning towards Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 235/45R18 with Sport Edition P5 (TireRack). The wheels are 18x8 with a 42mm offset. The TIreRack website doesn't indicate a problem, I've also emailed them to see if they can advise, I just want to know if these will offer adequate clearance for the front brakes. Not looking to break the bank here yet, just want a good inexpensive wheel that'll fit. I ran the same tires on my old Golf R so I'm not too worried with those. I've got a pickup for really bad weather but just the same if it snows when I'm already out, I don't want to have to worry about getting home in one piece.
I'll keep digging through the forum but in the mean time if you can help with any advice I'd appreciate it.
