Need help with Auto Dimming Mirror Power Tap for Radar Det

I have a new Civic EXL hatchback and looking to install my radar detector. I have a mirror power cord tap but when I hook the wires red to red and black to black on the auto-dimming mirror connector but no power! What am I doing wrong, or is Honda not running 12 volts to the mirror?

OEM don't care about wire colors, they do whatever they want, but there is a chance of it being those wires. I'll look it up.

It is on during the day. According to my sources the Brown with a black stripe is the acc power and the black is a ground. Use a multilmeter to test.
