Hello everyone,
New for forum, a Jamaican hailing from Barbados, new to Honda but not new to awesome transportation options...
I have never ever been a Honda fan so much outside of the DC2 Type R Integra, but I recently fell in love with the Civic X. Maybe because it is the 10th Edition like my beloved Evo X FQ.
At first my mind did not like it because it said HONDA on the back, but I was slowly looking at it more and more and when it came time to buy my wife a new car, we made the decision to buy a 1.5T Civic as the features were very good and the car (to me) had potential to be 'facially tuned' to look more like something I would enjoy being seen in and driving.
So, before I even paid for it, plans were way afoot and I traveled the internet to way-far-lands to find a solution to my own (yes, mine alone) problems with the car.
This is a little bit of the journey I took to transform a simple Honda into a WOOLF..!
Hope you like what you see as much as we do...
The Dealership pickup with wife/son getting the handover from the Sales Dude:
T301, meet your bad-brother T212...
So I took a trip to Florida to get the parts ordered, as soon as they were delivered from way-far, and look what greeted me on the way from the airport - a few Civic's
Got the parts and T301 had enough space inside to fit her upgrade-kits, barely...
And so the build began - 3 weeks after purchase. Hope you like my WOOLF Special Edition T15:
1st - the body needed to be wrapped in Matte Black - obviously (lol)
Then the chrome front grill had to go, as it looked like everyone else - so in came the Honeycomb Custom Grill
And then, we had to do something about that bland rear-end, so we witted a honest-to-God-light-as-hell Carbon Fibre Spoiler, rear diffuser, quad exhaust and painted the plastic-black pieces (front & rear) a custom colour to match the interior of the STAGGER 19"x 9.5" (R) 19" x 8.5" (F) with 245 & 225 tyres respectively
Then we fitted 90% of the remaining pieces (wife was rushing us to get her car back):
Finally got the car back for a couple days when the wife traveled, so we were able to complete and fit the Carbon Fiber Side Blades and Front Splitter and add the red reflective stripe to the lowers (I can't have a car without a stripe - see the Evo).
This is the FINAL PRODUCT - for now. Next up is Monster Brakes, Suspension, LSD & Hondata custom tune for our climate in Barbados.
Took T301 out to Rally Barbados, and it seems people like her appeal.
Just in case you were wondering: YES! I'm most likely going to order a Type R for myself or to go racing - dealer already notified and plans in place...
Hope you enjoyed the story, the build and like the car. My wife is happy, my son thinks his moms car is cooler than his dads and I actually enjoy driving a HONDA - I would have never predicted that.
Must say something about their new design direction. Good job, Honda!
