MotorTrend got to sit down with the project leader of the Civic Type R project, and discuss the future of it. For one, an electric Type R model is not out of the question, if it can provide the excitement the Type R badge is known for at a price that is reasonable for the consumer.
Also more interesting, is that it has not been decided where the next gen Civic Type R model will be built, between Japan and the United States, if there is a next generation one at all. So it looks like Honda hasn't fully committed to a next generation CTR yet.
It's an interesting read. The project lead is convinced they haven't hit the limits of the current FWD based platform yet either.
