Yah there should of been room to go further. But pop she did.
Lol probably needed motec ecu to help out lol. Surprising how some cars can handle over 400whp on stock motor and be perfectly fine

Slightly bent rod from misfires with partial hydrolock during the methanol adding process?
I haven't had a misfire situation. If it was 50/50 hydrolock would be in the realm of possibility. But it was VP m1. And the fuel the meth system was adding was removed from the cars fuel system.

I've been told from the guy who pulled the pan off that the rod snapped clean in half at the middle. I'll have pics tomorrow hopefully.

If this was any other tune or tuner I think folks might have reacted a little differently lol. ;) But for most of us, we simply recognize... this is simply the side effect of being one of the pioneers in the community.

I appreciate the risks you all are taking. Interested to know what you guys find out. :cool:

I'm far from being knowledge on this subject, but from the few 1.5t engines I have read about being blown, they were running lean and boost was above 30 psi, the stock rods couldn't handle it and bent or broke. We will know for sure once the engine is broken down. Anyway thanks from people like me who want to stay as close to stock as possible (237 whp is it for me!) who are watching from a distance as people like you are daring to do only what we are only dreaming of doing

How much boost are you running with the 27won turbo? How much hp/tq are you pushing?
26-27psi on shit California 91 pump and can’t tell you exactly on hp/tq as my fx350 is slipping unfortunately. DRob estimated 285-290ish whp and torque well enough to slip so idk

Aw c'mon, California 91 ain't that bad if your making 285-290 whp, unless your getting excessive knock. Good news is 95 might become the national standard in a few years if car companies have anything to say about it

Are you going to push any more? I feel like that is a safe place to be. How do you drive? Do you have a lead foot or track you car at all?

Are you going to push any more? I feel like that is a safe place to be. How do you drive? Do you have a lead foot or track you car at all?
If I had E boost may go up but it’s really about more ignition
