It is the bracket rattling against the firewall. People, including myself, used insulation foam to place in between the bracket and firewall.

You can use the same stuff around your doors to get rid of rattles also ;) it’s essential for Type R ownership!

Surely the door seal should sit against the frame? This would not rattle seeing as it's a rubber/foam seal...

I used to have this, it only occurs when you press on the gas right? And if you let off gas goes away? If it is your baffle or the brass fitting is loose. Tap on that brass holes they shouldn’t move, if it does that’s your problem

I don't have a picture. Just sandwich this foam between the bracket (side facing the firewall) and the firewall.

When I installed mine, I used foam and still had the rattle.

I found that my rattle was from the silver disc on the inside, so it was pretty much a self contained rattle inside the catch can. I feel that it was partially my fault as I found oil around the plastic fitments. Read through some other posts related to the catch cans in general and opted to replace the fitments with brass ones and I think the correctly pressurized catch can held the silver media in place correctly.

I've since emptied the catch can more than a few times by just unscrewing the reservoir and the noise hasn't come back.

Good luck!
