I scrolled 4 pages through that thread and I think it's really just an aesthetic mod at the end of the day. Mishimoto claims it will hold up better than the stock one in high-heat situations and there is some baffling to help with performance oriented driving. I'd be shocked if this really was much better than the OEM set up.
So I just did an oil change. I noticed blue/green chalky substance (dried up coolant) coming from around the entire seal of stock tank. Whatever they used to seal the two pieces to gether to make the tank, are leaking now, and it's not just in one or two spots, but around the entire tank at the seal. I'm at 44,000 miles btw. I'm going with the Mishi tank ASAP.
