I use to. Aprilia RSV4. Rode GMR for years but 8 months in now driving up there. Hit me up on IG @brakefastclub_ca if you wanna come out.Looks like 3rd gear works real well on the backside of GMR.
Do you ride motorcycles up there too?
. Glad you enjoyed the road. Miatas and this canyon were made for each other.*Eurobeat Intensifies*
I did this exact stretch in a ND Miata in November. Stayed on my side of the double yellows and kept it pretty calm however as it was my first time up it, but definitely one of my most memorable "fun" drives
On one blind left, a massive duelly came barreling around the corner and I sure was glad I was in something as small as a Miata

Yeah, thanks. I've driven this road before in my GTi way back! It's near Glendora, and is not too far from where my brother lives (Eastvale near Corona). I was going to do this exact run in my Si last winter, but weather would not permit it

Yep. I've taken a combo of 101/Hwy 1 trips coming to SoCal. It will make the trip 10 hours or more, but it's worth it. The windy roads, the hills on one side and Beaches on the other. One trip we took back in 2014, we stopped at Big Sur and Morro Bay and turned it into a 2 day driveI used to love visiting my brother when he lived in the Bay area.
So many great back roads between here and there. I'd always take some variation of this route.

touge (峠)is a japanese word which means canyon. When I saw "touge" in the title, I thought it was a typo. Never heard of the word. Had to hit up the Urban Dictionary to find what it was.
If anyone else had no clue...
I'll take you up there when you're in town next time in the R. I'm keeping it until summer (a least) now that Tesla has basically paid for it in the last two weeks. But no touge after my incident in my Miata during the first month of ownership. Just some relaxed cruising if you're available later this month.Where exactly is this?
