Has anyone else had a difficult time centering the tips? Also, it seems to hang pretty low and the resenator resting on the heat shield. I am catching the bottom of the muffler on speed bumps. I took it to a muffler shop and they want to cut hangers and so forth to get it center for $250. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

(Sorry for the dirty car... she was clean yesterday... I swear:doh:)

Hey Vincent sorry to hear its not aligning straight at the moment, but like mentioned before there should not be any modifications done to the exhaust to make it fit right
just needs to be aligned correctly

ps. your cars dirty

TELL THEM TO FUCK OFF. I GOT MY WHOLE EXHAUST INSTALLED FOR $100. They had difficulty centering it as well. Its pretty hard to align because it has to be perfect or the resonator hits the heat shield. Mine doesnt hit on speed bumps. I guess its all on the geometry of the pipes and how they connect. Sometimes you have to rotate it to find its perfect resting spot.

First of all, I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone @MAPerformance @Daelen@MAP . They not only gave me an awesome deal, but shipping and arrival came a lot sooner and faster than expected. So a super big thumbs up for that.

The product was flawless and I have no issues with mine or any imperfections. I did have issues but those errors were on my end during install. They quickly helped me and help me resolve the issue I was having. As for sound, I couldn’t be more pleased. I guess sound is all a personal preference. Coming from a muffler delete with RV6 Catless DP/FP. This exhaust surely cleared that up and made it more deeper. To my surprise it even quieted it down a bit. I couldn’t be more pleased with the product and support I received. For all those on the fence. Get this..... I got the Race Exhaust by the way with blue tips.

Thank you for the kind words

Yea exhaust is all preference some people like loud some people dont

So Ive heard that if I were to install this exhaust (race exhaust form maperformance) that my clutch with slip in a couple of months is this true because I’ll just do a muffler delete if anything

Who ever told you that much had been pulling your leg. Thats not true at all. Your car isn't tuned correct? If so you are fine. Race exhaust is a glorified muffler delete. Well a really good muffler delete. You will be fine.

If my clutch is starting to slip after my exhaust install, it is because I have been harder on the throttle. I cant help but to press this gas more, the sound is just so nice. So yes! Your clutch may slip from change in driving habits. :headbang:
All jokes aside, let it be known that an exhaust does not help your clutch start to slip.

Pretty much because this car is economical and it isn't technically supposed to push power, so thats why I thought that. It's what I read in the youtube comments of the MAPerformance video saying that the clutch will slip or something.

It will slip if you are running a tuner or the higher boost settings.

For a stockish car you are more then fine. Plus your warranty will not be voided either so if the clutch does slip (take it back to honda).

@Daelen@MAP OK, we've spent 4 hours and still no luck. We managed to get the resenator higher up and off of the heat shield, but now it hits the cross member near the forward hanger. Here's some photos for you guys to review.

From the looks of it, you have your mid sections after the resonator, rotated too much towards the tunnel/heat shield. Also, how you slip the hangers onto the exhaust leaves for a lot of adjustment whether left or right. It took me 4 times to get everything lined up perfect but there shouldn’t be a need to modify the exhaust in any way. The biggest key is getting your slip clamp on properly. And adjust your hangers either more in or more out. It will align trust. As far as gap, I see that on the sedan the gap is much different than the coupes but it should align. Just gotta get the right placement.

Hey Vincent after looking at some of the photos you posted and looking at our exhaust it might be the front pipe placement is causing the issue for the rest of the exhaust
youd need to rotate the front pipe to the left and start making adjustments to the exhaust after
