I noticed when I am checking my maintenance minder oil changes, it's always in percentages of 10%. So 90%, 80%, 70%, etc......

Is this how everyone else's is as well, there's no 95, 90, 85, 80, etc ?

Too much information is not better than no information at all.

Do not break your head with this details, just check your mileage

Our '12 Si is by 10's until it gets to 15%, then 10%, and (I believe) 5%, 0% and then negative miles.

I'm only getting about 3500-4000 miles, for ex, I am at 20% now with 3300 miles.. I had to reset it twice without changing oil just to get the FF to 5800 miles when I changed the oil. I had to buy almost 40 quarts of clearance oil in order to stave off elimination by this oil guzzling 1.5 liter turbo. I'm clinging to and nursing this thing, it's temperamental.

It's a nice feature but after almost a year I don't check, can't be bothered with it. Old school and going by mileage/months.

Which means you are resetting the thing but the thing is you need the dealer to set it so it doesn't throw off the rest of your schedule. The MMS is a temperamental B@$$@!

I do my own maintenant
It's good to know what your MMS is displaying and wanting you to do, even if you do your own maint cause you can't disable it I am wondering if I need to re program mine since I reset it 2 or 3 times to get my Factory Fill oil to stay longer for the first oil change only.

Engine oils last longer than they did before :p I only do engine oil changes once a year on our new cars.

same here. all my driving is local stop and go. There's a stop sign every two blocks in my neighborhood which is real annoying. I'm at 20% at 4K miles. I DIY my oil changes every 4K or so.

I have almost 16,000 miles and am due for my next oil change soon. All I do is highway driving though.

It appears that it goes down by -10% until 15%, then 5%, then 0%

On another note, I'm not sure if it is the environment here right now or the way Honda's air intake pulls air vs Toyota, but I just changed my engine air filter about 7,000-8,000 miles ago and it's totally blackened and needs to be replaced. I normally don't even look at it until 10,000 miles but i happened to see how dirty it was when i randomly checked.

My 17 Si is almost to 9000 miles and still on 20% oil life. I am taking it in next week to have it's first change. I plan to follow the maintenance minder and use fully synthetic oil of course. I don't see much of a reason to change it earlier.

Mine finally got to 15% at 9,600 miles.
