Made some time today to install my new HKS Legamax Premium exhaust and Varis CFRP Cooling Bonnet. Install for both were pretty straightforward with the exception of the stock washer system. Next stop is Stealth Labs for Aerocatch install and the OEM grill modification.

Pretty cool update today. I went and visited Masa and Abe over at Stealth Labs USA in Belmont, CA for some custom work. They hooked me up with a OEM grill modification and Aerocatch install for the Varis bonnet. I was stunned by the level of care and quality of which the work was done. Cutting into the OEM grill with precision is quite difficult and he made it look easy. Cuts were super clean and symmetrical. I'd say it rivals the one from EVS but without the hefty price tag. Hit them up if you're local and looking to get some custom work done! Let them know Michael sent you over and they'll hook you up.

Mocking up the shape of the holes.

It’ll be an exciting week or two since I have a few things on order. Varis hood is also getting painted this coming week which should finish the exterior of the car for now. Varis fender extensions still been on order, for over a year....

Also got the windows tinted with LLumar CTX film at 35% all around.

On order:
HKS Intercooler kit with piping
Koyorad
Radium Coolant Tank
Radium 1.3 bar cap
PFC08 front pads
PMU 999 front pads
PMU Club Racer rear pads
Sakebomb Garage 2 piece rotors

Excuse my ignorance on the hood, is that center section easily removable?

Yup really easy. There's 6 phillips head screws that you undo for the tray to come out.

I can check with my guy if you're serious about the Varis hood. I wouldn't trust myself either... glad I took it to someone that has the skill to do super clean cuts. Looks OEM IMO.

yeah i wish the guy was local down here in socal. He definitely would've gotten my money and it really does look OEM. I can't believe how much air flow that the original blocks ...
I may just end up paying evasive for their grill ... idk any locals down here that would be able to do very clean work like that. I know if i tried it, it definitely wouldn't look symmetrical LOL.

The varis hood i was planning on getting after this years holiday season really. I may have to contact you when the time comes and see how the inventories are. When i tried getting the hood earlier this year it was like a 7 months wait ... :(

Looks like we are all having the same dilemma, just feeling a little weird paying 400 for an oem grill with two cut outs

Got a lot of parts arriving here and getting installed shortly. Stay tuned for that!

I thought I’d make my YouTube videos public again. Here’s some incar footage of Hot Hatch Challenge and some track days!

Where did you go to get the tint? Did they have to disassemble the rear wing / spoiler?

ACJ Tinting in Hayward. They have a spare hatch window that they use as a template I believe. They didn’t remove anything.

did you have the hood and the grill on at this run?

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on how those 2 mods affected your temps compared to before.
