    Hello,
I installed D2 lowering springs on my car and then took it for alignment after week. However mechanic told me that i wasn't supposed to reuse the center piece for the top mount as it's only a one time use and should be replaced once opened. He also mentioned the whole geometry of the car is now changed and it will take longer to align and cost more too.
He also showed concern stating that the bolts need to be torqued to a certain spec.

None of the dyi I read and seen mentioned any of these.

    Should I be concerned?

You've got a good mechanic there. He or she is right on all counts.

BTW, it isn't "center piece," it is the nut at the top of the strut that shouldn't be reused.
