Has anyone running Eibach sportline springs or similar lowering springs experienced accelerated or premature CV boot failure?

My passenger side CV boot failed after about 8k miles on my H&R springs. Was repaired under factory warranty.

How did you pull that one off?
I would think they would deny warranty if you had lowering springs
What did the dealer say about the springs?

I simply did not mention anything about my springs...I’m not sure they even noticed.

Or maybe they noticed and also turned a blind eye.

Also would like to clarify that they replaced the entire passenger axel to fix the torn/leaking CV boot.

I'm on Sportiness and my CV boot started leaking literally within the week of install. I am not sure if it was a fault install or what.

I'm going in to Honda this Wed. To see what the damage is and if they'll honor it.

Will report back.

So basically lowering these cars causes the CV boots to fail I guess?

$450 later and the problem is fixed. The dealer I went to is not "mod friendly" at all, and despite haggling with them, they ultimately blamed the problem on the springs.

Purely depends on luck. It could have been a faulty part to begin with but the service dept. wasn't gonna haggle with me when it came to the springs.

I'm pretty sure all cars that are lowered will get premature wear on the CV boots...

I was referring to the multiple people who lowered and almost immediately their cv boots failed on their 10th

hey everyone, im a new member here, i primarily joined civicx.com for this cv boot situation. Ive been on other forums, honda-tech, e90...etc. so im not new to forums.

any ways i reached out to North America Honda and was told this: they dont have cv boot replacements yet they are anticipating a june/july release. i was told that the part is typically a wear and tear item so its not reasonable for them to have replacement available immediately. i was told if i believe the damage was due to a defect i can take the car to the dealer and they will habe no other choice but to replaced the entire axle, i obviously left out the part that im lowered on after market suspension.

so ive been thinking, even if i replace the CV boots with OEM honda ones, they have high chance of tearing again, so i will most probably go with an aftermarket item or even one that is designed to handle more aggressive driving, like race version of the cv boot from another vehicle, just have to do some measuring.
