Fuelly is great.

MPG is all about your right foot. If you want 40+mpg, stay out of boost as much as possible. Cruise control at 70mph with ECON set is a perfect recipe for 40+mpg.

Too bad we’re in the si forum and we don’t have Econ

crazy it was your exhaust causing the low mpg.

I used to get 28-30mpg in mine with my HKS exhaust.

I since got another car for daily driving and leave the Si on map 3 and get like 19mpg because I drive it maybe 3-4 times a month now.

Well I can't say for sure that the exhaust was the cause and adding the resonator fixed the issue. It may be coincidence. Although adding the resonator does make everything smoother and improved the driving experience due to high frequency exhaust waves being toned down. I could feel the engine when taking it past 3500 rpm, now I can take it to 5000 and it doesn't hurt my ears, and cruising on the freeway the only noise I hear is the wind and tires

From last Sunday's cruise before I filled up, I managed to get 56.2mpg and from what I noticed, I never really exceed 2200rpm when I'm driving either 35mph in the city or 70 on the highway. I believe the CVT trans comes in handy for higher mpg since it shifts very early for cruising.
