So I leased a 2019 Civic Coupe EX with a "premium" stereo (joke!). Needless to say I'm not going to dump a lot of money into a lease car. If you were going to invest money to improve the stereo sound how would you spend it? I will probably do the install improvements myself.

There's not really anything you can do for only $200 on the 10 speaker system. Maybe replace the sub or add some sound proofing to the doors and trunk.

On my Si (same system I believe) I upgraded the tweeters and left the rest of it alone.

On a 1 to 10 scale, if your car stereo was a 5 before the new tweeters what would it be now?

7-8 maybe? My complaint now is that the subwoofer will rattle the rear deck badly if you crank it up, and it’s not like it’s a huge sub. I’ve not been very aggressive with trying to resolve that particular issue.

IMO, replacing the front speakers will provide the best bang for the buck under $200. I went with these up front; only $139. They aren't the most dynamic speaker around, but good, smooth and natural sound.

Note: if you go this route, one of the threads on the site details how to install the tweeter with minimal modification.
