Just flashed my 16’ civic 2.0 with ktuner v1.2 on my laptop. When the flash was complete it said “flash successful” but I realized that the car battery had died. When I jumped the car afterwards the Check engine light was on. Does anyone think this is probably because of the dead battery? If so how can I get rid of the light?

If your battery died I would be concerned your flash was not successful. I'd hook the KTuner back up and start over. Preferably with a charger connected. The batteries in these cars are not great.

That's why I bought a battery tender and use it to trickle charge my battery while I'm flashing a tune.

Code was U0301 will Ktuner allow me to clear the code? Is this a code I should worry about or nah?

Yes, KTuner will clear the code but you have another issue. That code means software incompatibility with the ECU. Maybe the battery dying threw that code or somehow you uploaded a tune for the wrong software somehow? Although I'm not sure if the latter is even possible.

When you first opened a new tune, did you match it to your software number? Are you sure the tune even took?

If it was me, I'd go ahead and re-flash the tune.

flashed back to factory, the re-flashed and CEL is still on. I am thinking that maybe I accidentally uploaded a tune for the wrong software. I mean there is only 1 tune for the 2.0 engine but I initially had to click on my vehicle and for some reason there are two different options, they looked identical but that could have been it. Although ktuner was not allowing me to clear the code, is there something that I need to do to clear it properly?

Since there are two different options, did you make sure you used the one matching your ECU software?

Match software in Tools > Reflash info > KTuner Units.

That's all I got. Hopefully KTuner will chime in soon or you can email them.

If you didn't come in on A66 or later, choose the other option. If it currently says A64 because you flashed A6X and get a code, then you were on A66 or later originally.

Or, to make it simpler, choose the one that you didn't choose last time.
