K&N intake on most cars are absolutely garbage. Especially the short ram. On most applications, they just heatsoak like crazy and lose power compared to stock. It's good if you want the noise though and will probably end up being carb legal like most of their other applications.

Couldn’t have said it better.

That's kind of what I thought too, it looks really nice but that's about all I guess. I will be buying the PRL CAI as I want to also pair it with the Ktuner 6+ PSI tune. This should be enough to satisfy my power needs and I don't want an exhaust for noise the wife doesn't like them. Exhaust is another mod that seems to be mainly for sound also not much HP gained, 5HP if your lucky it seems, atleast with the PRL CAI they have proven 9-14HP gains which I think is excellent for what it is!

Yes that is how this site owner makes BANK, everytime someone clicks on one of those ads he gets Paid!! You don't even have to actually buy the product as long as you click on the ad the site owner collects! That's why he is driving a Ferrari and we drive a Civic...LOL

I’m glad some others on the forums here understand what I’ve been trying to lay down to people for months. Was beginning to think these company’s sucked in a giant pool of suckers.

they get tricked because of their cool looking intake box that makes a seal with the hood closed. That makes it look like the intake is well thought out and that it doesn't experience heatsoak because the box isolates the intake from the engine bay heat.

my AF Dynamic cheap as eff intake came with a heat shield. i didnt even install it bc they never work and all I could think was it would trap even more hot air around the intake filter. For me, i bought it to make noise, so im ok with it. I do see a PRL Cobra in my future now though

It is what it is. I got mine for free so I can't really complain about it

no hating about any brand that weve talked here....but i think the k/n looks way better than this bizarre shape intake.......

That intake looks bizarre because that design works, very well at that too. I don’t think you understand the testing that went into it, and how the intake side of this motor works with a intake mod. I also don’t think you understand air turbulence and air velocity. This is why 99.5 of the short rams out, won’t make much of any power gains. It’s just for sound, like a catback exhaust. Again if you bought it for sound, that’s cool. Not hating. I don’t buy for sound, I buy for results. Horse power isn’t always pretty. ;)

Is there a reason none of the intakes seem to replace all the way back? they all look weird to me to just stop 1/2 way then turn into stock ugly piping. I feel like it would look better if it ran all the way across the front.
