Just Bought 2018 R !!!!

Just put down a deposit on a 2018 R.
Black w/4441 miles on it, yes that is 4441.
[From local Honda dealer.]
Should pick it up by the end of the week or early next week.
I've done my research and doing more of course - anything I should know as a new owner?

Congratulations on getting a Type R.
Thailand, I believe, has a Honda assembly plant, but I don't know why they don't have access to Type Rs. A search result for 2018 Type R here found one at THB4.6M (almost USD150k).

Congrats, but I think you should compare your savings to those of the same year.

you paid 5K less? 19's by default are roughly 1K more than the 17s and 18s. compared to an 18, you saved 4k, by buying used with 4k miles on it. I don't think you got a great deal, but I don't think you paid too much. I think you paid a fair price. I paid just shy of 41 OTD Jan., 11th 2019 for my 2018 R. I bought it new. It came with the following:

Tint
Honda CF wing
Honda leather shift knob.
Illuminated Door Sills.
All weather floor mats.
All Weather rear cargo tray
Ceramic coating.
Wheel and Tire warranty.
Complimentary maintenance for the first 36K or 3yrs, which ever comes first.

Sticker was 35,xxx - whatever MSRP was for the 2018 model year.

I think I got a decent deal. I did not get a great one, but I get what I wanted, I could have done better, but I was only in the Honda dealership for about 30 mins max, and I had to get back to work as it was tax season. Had I known they had - and still have - 3 2018 type Rs on the lot, I would have tried to negotiate the price lower.
Plus side, my childhood friend is the parts manager, and another childhood friends runs the detailing dept. at the dealership. Free car washes, and parts at cost, - I love it.

I must say I find some of your belief systems fascinating.
I paid cash for the car.
If I bought a 2019 with 0 miles on it I would have paid $40,000+ instead I bought a 2018 with 4441 miles on it and paid $35,000. I'm a bear of little brain and my math skills suck but I think that still puts me ahead $5000.00?
