Hey fellow 10th gen Si owners, noob to turbos here. I'm a huge fan of hearing turbo flutter at car meets and track days. How can I achieve this with the stock turbo? Is it as simple as a BPV mod?

**EDIT: So the only way to get any more noises is an intake and (maybe) a BOV mod. Thx for the replies!

No avoid the BPV mod. If you want the turbo noises get a PRL Cobra intake.

In theory, you could make a plate to block off the BPV.

It won't really flutter per se, but any cold air intake will give you some nice turbo sounds. I have a Mishimoto CAI and it makes plenty of turbo induction noises, both on and off throttle. I think that is the only method that has a low chance of damaging your engine.

Turbo flutter is TERRIBLE for the compressor wheel on the turbo. It makes a turbulent back pressure pushing back towards the wheel while the wheel is trying to force air out. Might sound cool but not a good idea on a car your daily driver.

You don't want no part of that shit Dewey.

Unless your compressor housing looks like this, you're going to !&U^)! your turbo up if you remove your BOV.

Or any other intake. MAPerformance makes a great intakes as well as many other reputable companies.

Are they as loud as the cobra? It's like 4" in diameter in certain areas. It's definitely loud when you get on it.

I'm looking at pricing on these short ram intakes and realizing it's been over a decade since I last had a car worth modifying. When did 6" of plumbing and a larger air filter start costing $300?

Oh for the love of God. Very no, much dangerous.

Go with a PRL intake and call it good. Or go buy a MOTEC ecu and get MAP tuned, then add your BOV
