For sure! 1G of grip puts it in the company of Z-06 Vettes and the Nissan GT-R. I think it's even 1.04 to be exact.

In my opinion, since it's based off of a regular civic and it's FWD, I wouldn't consider it a "sports car" in the traditional sense, but it does perform well in a lot of categories.

In the technical sense, no it's not a sports car. But in reality, it's capable of running on an actual race track and performing amazingly well. Besting many so called "sports cars".

There is no definition of a "sports car" that is official and better than anybody else's.

The owners of the list in the link said clearly that they included in their list any car marketed as a sports car. But, strangely, not, if it's just a "trim. " Silly, but that's how they like it.

Definitions what is or is not a "sports car" are just as irrelevant as which camera is a "pro camera" (another definition disputed in forums).

If a significant number of people use a car for sports, it's a sports car. If a significant number of pros use a camera for making money as in shooting weddings, it's a pro camera, no matter what anybody says, including the manufacturer.
