Just a thought if Honda brought back or made a two door hatch. Would you buy it?

Not me. I loved 2 doors as a kid. But now after 20 years with 4 doors, the usefulness and versatility outweigh the sportiness. If the 4 door hatch had not been available, I’d have had to shop and buy a CUV. And I really hate those things.

I dont think it would sell that well. Seems like people are more about utility than compact styling at this time. One of the reasons why the small SUV is the new trend and the sedan is getting less popular. However, if Honda did what ford did and took there old designs and modernized them, i would absolutely buy a modern EK9 just for nostalgia.

I certainly would have preferred a 2 door hatch. But still, I'm happy with my coupe. A low miles 95? 2 door Civic hatch came up recently on Craigslist but I passed and it sold quickly. When I later mentioned it to my wife she got mad and snapped "WHY DIDN'T YOU BUY IT"! LOL

What if a fastback style?
Maybe, depending on its implementation. I think a fastback-style would be closer to the CRX/CR-Z style, yeah?

The CR-Z that was definitely a cool looking car I was disappointed that it was a hybrid

No.

I'm doing sedans until there's only 2 people in my household again. I've kept a proper sport car over the years and, even after we started having kids, I had a 280z and the 300zx as a 3rd/4th vehicle since having had kids (Zs 4 and 5 for me). The last coupe was a RSX Type-S we had the first year after the oldest kid. Coupes are too much of a PITA as a family car to me these days.

It seems they tried to compromise on the CTR by making it a 2+2 instead of a proper 5-seater... and there's more folks who'd prefer to convert it back to a 5-seater than anything else I've seen. I'd of loved an Si hatch but would have been a hard pass for it for the sedan if it was offered as a 2-door only. Variety is the spice of life though... and it'd be cool if they made it an option.
