Dorian is still a ways away, but it's looming. Be safe Carolinas.

Hurricane is triggering a ton of tornadoes and tornado warnings on the coasts of NC/SC. Be careful out there, I’ve seen photos of actual tornadoes that produced because of the outer bands of convection around Dorian. The environment is very conducive for supercells and as a result supercelluar tornadoes.

I’m a weather geek so I get all the notifications from the NWS Tornado Twitter account as they come up and my phone has been lighting up non stop this morning :)

Traffic cams are good to get a look inside. Many are down but some are still working:

It's crazy the number of people I saw driving on the bridges last night in Charleston. I'm hoping that they were LEO or DOT not regular people

I expect to see some impressive wind and rain come Saturday here in the maritimes but hopefully not TOO much wind. Don't need another post tropical storm Arthur adventure up these ways...

Flood waters receded pretty quickly here thankfully. Still a lot of power lines down and a few gas leaks.

Wilmington had some tornadoes touch down...

Be safe y'all

Well, it looks like Halifax and a good bit of Nova Scotia is going to get it as a hurricane and not a post tropical storm so up to 6 inches of rain and some crazy wind. So all you Haligonians and whatnot, stay safe.
