Just got done with a 750 mile road trip to bring my 2019 Type R home from Illinois to North Dakota.

Was curious about other’s stories of traveling a long distance to pick theirs up.

Only traveled about an hour to pick up mine.( Not a Type R though)
Cool thing is, you finished the break- in period before you made it home! Enjoy the new ride.

188 miles, nice! I’m sure you enjoyed the road trip as much as I did :headbang: However, took me awhile to get all the bugs off haha.

Hey now, every tale of getting a Type R is great!

I wonder why didn't you wait for the 2020 refresh? Most probably that's going to be better looking.

I know that it's not a Type R, but I'm getting my HB 1.5T Sport Plus Civic in November and I cannot drive to where I'm picking it up because as soon as I step out of my apartment building, the Honda dealer is right across the street about 20m (65ft) away from the door of the apartment building…

That being said me, and my wife are going on a 800km road trip the moment I get the keys.

We're in the process of having our 17 HB Sport Touring shipped from Motanna (1,500 miles away). I know that's not considered traveling to go get it but we're still freak out buying a car for $22k site unseen.

I think I may have the best record. I walked 15 minutes to the dealership to pick it up and drove it home.

Never got to test drive one where I live so I bought a one way plane ticket from PA to Charlotte NC and just bought the Damn thing. Then stayed at a friend's house in Troutman for the night and then drove 8 hours back to Pennsylvania.
