I have 2018 Civic Si with Hondata +9 calibration and have been trying to monitor and learn my knock control. After doing research on the forum I have seen a lot of members with K Tuners and they are referencing the percentage as .54 to 1.00 etc. I’m watching and monitoring thru Hondata Mobile and their values show as 54.69 etc. Similar or nah? How do these compare and what numbers should I be watching?

There's no real light to shed. As I told you in another post, 54 is the low mark with Hondata. 49 is the lowest with Ktuner. If you stay in that area you're as good as it gets.

Ok.. I think I understand. .49 for K Tuner is the same as 49.00 for Hondata correct @gtman

Ok let me try to explain this. Nothing is "unsafe". As the numbers go up (which happens with hard runs and warm temps) the timing will automatically retard to "protect" the engine. This means less power too. That's why people with tunes are always harping on low K. Control. Low K. Control means more power. It's as simple as that. Just use the highest octane gas you can get to keep the numbers low.

As far as 49 vs. 54, it's apples to oranges. You have Hondata and 54 is the lowest you'll get.

Ktuner and Hondata Knock Control in their systems are different. Try not to compare them.
