Yep, it's official, Hondata has set a date for our Type R, and it will be releasing it on March 30th!

https://www.hondata.com/news/blogart57

Civic Type R FlashPro
- available March 30
- US FK8 Civic Type R only
- Flashing via OBDII port
- ECU needs to be sent to Hondata once for preparation
- full tuning capabilities from FlashPro

I can't wait to see what it brings, and to see what Ktuner brings to the table as well. Happy days indeed!

I was blown away when I heard this news. This is not your ordinary FlashPro - much harder to do than a typical Honda ECU due to the encryption. Really awesome that Hondata was able to figure this out.
Me too!! I'm going to see what Ktuner is up to, I'm very interested since I have their unit already, but it's exciting the Hondata is coming out with theirs so soon

LOL ! SHABOOOOOOM................... LOL i'm thinking (assuming here guys) its gonna be in the 1k range but super worth it. we will see march 30thhhhhhhhhhhhh.......

Consider the warranty on your engine gone!
Ah ok. I know what you mean now.
So if we are able to push another 50 to 100 hp out of this car what do you guys think it'll do to the reliability? Do you guys think the engine/transmission etc can handle it? Or would a lot of parts need to be changed out with the tune?

I’m only trying to get 10 more HP out of it to offset EUDM’s difference.

Why do they get a little more? Does it have something to do with emissions?
Different fuel over there. I think they have 98 ROM?
