    Hello all,

I and a few others are having an issue with the 2019 R and Hondata. No matter if using one of the various basemaps or custom tunes, we cannot seem to get the correct amount of torque/boost. In direct comparison to a 2017/18 with the same mods and same basemap the boost levels are completely different. On the 17/18 they reach mid-high 20s and on the 19s it's usually 18-23 area with WOT.

Is anyone else on a 2019 with Hondata and have this issue or have advise on this? Considering the 2019s have different ECU software, perhaps there is something off on the FlashPro software currently for them?

    Thanks!

Last time I checked if we switch between the 2018 & 2019 binaries with the same calibration in a test vehicle it runs identical boost and power.

could it just be the conditions are different and thus the amount of boost is different for each application? But the power is the same? I'm not expert on this by any means, but I thought these calibrations were torque based...again, someone correct me if I have this wrong, but two CTRs with the same calibration, but in two separate areas of the country will end up with about the same amount of power, but see different boost?

Same area. Same city. Same mods. Different year car.

And it’s not just one, it’s multiple 2019 Rs down here at this point, so we are assuming it’s something software-wise. One of the tuners down here even threw an email to support if I am not mistaken about this very issue. Don’t think it ever got resolved, but I don’t know for sure as I wasn’t directly in the communication.

Is there anyone on an actual 2019 with Hondata making similar power to a 17/18 here? (Using the same basemap of course.)

You may want to check side by side with a 2019 R and a 2018/2017 R. We have multiple having the exact same issue here and people have submitted support requests, I have datalogs and it seems like WOT is being somewhere in the 18-22PSI range instead of mid to high 20s like the 17/18 ones that are running the exact same basemap on the exact same street. Even passengers are stating that it’s noticeably slower.

Something somewhere is amiss with the 2019 model.

This confirms the volume knob robs power...

Yep, which is what we are getting with a basemap calibration from Hondata which shouldn't be. @Hondata any news on testing this out?

Has the 2019 model had the GPF - Gasoline Particulate Filter added as part of the new Euro 6 regulations?

This could be reducing flow, boost etc.

You were correct. One pressure ratio limit table was not being updated and the 2019 FK8 would make less power than the 2018. It was a temperature table so the power difference was from zero upwards, but it is noticeable.

We've fixed it and are going to release the new software tomorrow morning. There's nothing special anyone has to do other than install the software update and upload to the vehicle again.

    Thank you.

If I am reading this correctly, would this then affect all current 2019 FK8s with Hondata software? Asking due to the fact that I know a few friends with stage 1 on their 2019s and I have never experienced a stage 1 17/18 FK8 for comparison
