I hope they did not design/setup the car as a Nurburgring beater. Every one of the cars designed to set records on that course turn out to be real world crap.

If they can achieve 7:45 or less, the new CTR would be 11 seconds faster than the NA2 NSX-R and might give Honda some breathing room before the fastest FWD title is threatened again.

With ~30 more hp, improved aerodynamics, fully independent rear suspension, and stickier tires, it might be doable.

I fully agree. The way I figure, the last CTR was built as an economical hatch and converted to a Type R. As I understand, the CivicX TypeR was built to be a race car first and then dulled down to be an economical car. If it gets a 30 hp bump as well, I have to think it can pick up 10 seconds...
