The entry-level version will cost upwards of £30,995, with the GT version asking for an additional £2,000, priced at £32,995.

GT models come with features like blind spot monitoring, cross traffic monitor, dual zone climate control, auto dimming rear view mirror, Honda’s Connect infotainment with Garmin Navigation, wireless charging, high power audio and LED front fog lights as standard.

So what is expected price for US customers ?..

I'm not a finance major, but some of the other forum members thinks it'll still be around $35,000 for the loaded/touring packaged Type R's.

Hoping for the price to be below $32450, that way I can get some mods done along the way.

Just look at other Civic trims (and other Honda models as well) when it comes to UK price vs. US price. Basically when it's all said and done, all you have to do is change the "£" symbol to a "$" symbol, and there's your price, plus or minus a few hundred here or there.

Given how UK and US pricing compare on a Focus RS, this puts the Type R in GT trim (our Touring trim?) around $36950. That sounds about right if they come out the same. I wonder if we'll hear our pricing tomorrow. Tuesday is a common day for press releases.

Different companies, different supply chain efficiencies.

Indeed, but you still have to pay attention to your competition and $37K puts them right in the ballpark so my guess it is it will be up or down a little from there but I don't think we're going to learn much we didn't already know.

It seems like with the UK pricing their goal was to undercut the Focus RS and Golf R by around 1000 and some change. They may use the same strategy here in the States.

Isn't the type R made in the UK? Doesn't that throw all sorts of wrenches in guessing the US price?

In theory yes, but the engine is made in the U.S so I'm sure those guys thought so too....
