Hmmm any idea if this will hurt the car? It would be rather nice having an additional 5lbs or so of boost on tap!
No clue, I’ve only done it a couple times. It might not be necessarily bad for it but I wouldn’t recommended it haha

I personally don't see what is wrong with it.

After just recently reading what ramp control is with boosting, this feels almost like an equivalent to me. If I limit my boost to 10 PSI under 4000 RPM but my pedal is set to go to 20 PSI already (say at 3800 RPM), it'll be at 10 PSI up until the needle hits 4000, then suddenly BOOM! It'll want to go to 20 thereafter, correct?

Or maybe I don't really know how ramp works, and perhaps the idea behind the word "ramp" in itself is that the computer will progress into 20 PSI nicely right after that without screwing something up.

Then again, maybe that's what happens when you hit the Sport button here as well. I don't see the negative effects outside of going 23 PSI in the first place.

The thing is, is that I am unsure if when hitting the sport button if it just increases boost or does it switch to a new map entirely?

Sport does up the boost some. The map doesn't change, as far as I know you gotta manually change the map
