My OEM pads went metal to metal in <1800 miles and 3 HPDE events.
I followed #flyinggatos video which said nothing special is needed.
When I replaced the driver's side, I set the brake and then the messages came up on the DIC and the emergency brake light began flashing.
I used a code reader but did not find any codes.
I reset the battery to no avail.
I found another set of instructions that said without HDS (it goes into some sort of pad change calibration), you remove the emergency brake and spin the spindle until it locks. On the left side, it just kept spinning, so I simply put it back on.
Working on the passenger side now.
The electronics in this car are very difficult to work around. I have another track event this weekend and don;t know if this will affect braking or if I need the dealer to get it into the calibration mode.
Any suggestions would be helpful!
What a PITA!
