Thanks!
So plug the phone into the audio system using the usual USB charging cord and then set what to Android Auto?
The car audio system, the phone????
Sorry - I'm friggin old... some days I miss my cassette player.
What I really miss is being able to totally rock my own personal 800+ song music library.

If you have an android phone. As soon as you plug in, your phone should run "Android Auto" automatically, and then you need to select "Android Auto" on your head unit. Android Auto is very cool - it also allows a few of your phone apps to run on the head display, such as Waze and Google Map, my favorite!! You will love it

PS - make sure your phone has the app "Android Auto".

OK
Finally got around to trying this (my R isn't a DD) and all I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you.
I'm 100% serious when I say I was thinking about selling the car...
If I can't listen my own playlist with decent sound quality and volume what's the point in having a car I take out to drive for fun?
And really like the Google Maps on the screen function too!
As we used to say in ME - wicked good!
Thanks
