I know that all cars with plastic headlights suffer from discoloration over time. Has anyone here used the headlight protector film before? I see them on Amazon, and the reviews are mixed. I also see that WeatherTech has them: http://www.weathertech.com/lampgard/
Pricey, but cheaper than replacing headlights, assuming they last more than two years and they actually stay on.

I used 3M/Ventureshield on my car. No fading or discoloring after 8 years/150K. Well worth it if you ask me.

How often do you have to replace the film?

Do modern day plastic headlights still discolor? I know that they can get cloudy is that what you mean?

Xpel also makes some good headlight protection covers.

    They are easy to apply.

That was fast! Post up a review and some photos if you can. DIY write-up would be cool if it warrants it. Could be useful when I get my coupe.

I wish I had done this on day 1 on my last cars. Foggy headlights are terrible.

I just ordered the Xpel kit, I may install them before I drive the car home :)

Hey, scsi. Did you install the headlight film? I want to do the same, but would rather wait for some other brave soul to try it first. :)

The key is in the installation. The front grill is not what I would recommend for first timers.

I've got the film, but no car yet. My dealer says it'll be here somewhere between the 22nd and 26th! :)
