It is an "EasyCare prepaid scheduled maintenance contract."A one year service contract on a new car that comes with a three year warranty? I don't get it. Do you mean maintenance contract?
They really should have left that off. I only cared about the bottom line. Now I get $150 back that I wasn't expecting.
One potentially shady thing is the $84 they charged me for the "EasyCare KeyCare" one year contract. In the membership certificate it lists the membership purchase price as "$0 (zero)," but on the purchase information document (the itemized list of charges and everything else) it lists KeyCare at $84. The contract says "as this certificate is being provided to you at no charge, this certificate is nonrefundable and has no cancellation fee." Looks like I'll get that money back as well.
