UPDATE: Test drove and I loved it! talked to the dealer next to my house and the guy is definitely a cool dude trying to help me out get what I want and get a good price. Costco gave me a price for $20,009.oo and he was willing to work around that and get me a deal. Also get a polish metal metallic delivered since no one has it in San Diego.

Spent about an hour with him today just talking about Hondas and our past project cars, definitely someone I want to buy a car from

What should I expect to pay for a 2018 Hatch EX? MSRP is 24,050. Dealer is offering it online for $22,451. I haven't started the negotiating process. What's invoice on this model roughly?

Also, I was looking at used as well as I don't want to loose my skin when I trade in 2-3 years (as is happening now with my Dodge Challenger R/T 6M), but can't see if it's a good price yet since I want to compare to what I would get it new.

Depends on how much the vehicle is before tax. If you got in it right at $20K then you did pretty good overall. Dont know what your taxes run, but around my area, you can get in a lunar silver MT HB for right at $20K before taxes.
On the mats...on my sport touring, I negotiated the all weather mats, wheel locks, and splash guards (I didn't get them installed as of now) for $60. Just for reference on that....

Gotcha thanks! So I got it at 20,900 before taxes and 23,600 OTD. I got the sports package as well(all weather, locks and splash guards) and the red floor mats and emblems

I got this price yesterday by getting several email quotes, then presenting to my preferred dealer. He agreed to match, after just a few minutes of checking it out, when I told him that he had a sale if he matched. I also told him that I would be financing at Honda's 1.9%, so that's another $ opportunity for them.

The other dealer quoted $400-$600 to find the red color for me, but since this dealer had already said he'd do it at no extra charge, I didn't mention that or allow for it when I presented my numbers. I did have to show the other dealer email, but it didn't have that extra color charge on it. This dealer didn't pick up on that at all. Maybe they assumed the other dealer had the color on the lot? Or, they just didn't want to let me walk out - safer not to confront me.
