Hatchback US Production Numbers

Lots has been discussed about the CTRs production numbers. However, I would be interested in knowing more about the Hatchback US Production numbers. My understanding is that North America was supposed to get 40k with something like 36k going to the US. Can anyone confirm this? Also, can anyone get their hands on the production numbers by trim and paint?

Reason I ask, is that I can count on one hand how many Hatchbacks I've seen on the road. I see the sedan and coupe all over the place, but no hatchbacks. And of the hatchbacks I've seen, only 2 have been the Sport, and that includes mine. Would be curious to know the production numbers. Any Honda insiders on here that can track this down?

Honda targeted hatch sales at 15% of total Civic volume. 2016 = 367,000 Civics x .15 = 55,000. This is a rough number, but probably pretty close. If I had to guess, I'd opine that the hatch is selling a little below the pace Honda anticipated. My gut feeling is 40-45k range.

Availability within a 500 mile radius of my location (of a Sport Hatch 6MT) at most any given time is less than one per every 220 Sport hatches or so.

Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking typing that. Lack of sleep. More like 5% give or take, I'd estimate.

Autotrader shows 3,358 for sale in the country right now including R's. Wow I see 213 manual Sport hatches on there. That's the most I've ever seen at one time in the country.

Initial estimates for the 2017 HBs were about 45,000 (140k made, ~40% to NA, 11k to CAN, 45k to USA, guesstimate). If we evenly distribute the colors and models: (7 colors, 6 models) There would be about 6400 for each color and about 1070 for each sub model. That is if they evenly distributed all the colors and models. Pretty sure they didn't... just curious to know the rarity of the different models and colors. I seem to see way more gray ones on the road than other colors, with the blue being the rarist.
