Has anyone encountered the hatchback stay assembly (lift arm support) becoming temporarily stuck or difficult to compress/lower after leaving the hatch open for a few minutes or more? This has happened to me a few times as of late.

Yeah that happens on mine as well. I actually had the struts replaced under warranty because they were leaking since day one. The new ones appear to be a different part but still do the same thing. Its probably normal Id think, probably the gas and oil shifting into a different spot.

i experienced this, but assumed it was ok, since it works fine otherwise. However, none of my CrVs did this, nor my pilot, all with similar mechanisms. I'm hoping it's normal :)
