Has the Brembo brake squeal been reincarnated from the infamous Evo Brake Squeal?

Who else is having the Infamous Evo Brake Squeal in their CTR? It started yesterday and here and there, its squeaking like the ole Evo's. Oh joy....

320 miles, and it did it yesterday with roughly 240 ish. Only happens when creeping to a stop

I've been very easy on the brakes, I'll follow the bedding in procedure tomorrow. I'm past the 200 mile break in anyway...

Please don't complain too much. If there's any squeal, it's probably just because they actually put good pads on as stock. Very few good track pads don't squeal and those that are quiet will start squealing if you look at them wrong :) If Honda thinks squeal is the priority on a car like the type R, and not fade, we'll get worse pads.

That being said, if you play around with shims or a backing plate, that can often quiet them down. Anyone know of aftermarket backing plates for the type R brakes?

It's the kind of pads that causes this squealing. They are probably high metal compounds, that can cope with a lot of heat on the track.

The OEM pad has an integrated backing plate. Some soft material glued on the back of the pad.
