Long story short, I realized this spring that my 2017 Civic was blowing lukewarm air when I used the AC. My husband replaced the fuse, switch, etc., with no luck. Took it to the dealer about a month ago, and they couldn't find a leak, but charged a fortune to "evaluate", and decided that my accident to my front end when I hit a deer in 2016 must have resulted in the coolant leaking out and was never replaced. (Air worked fine after the accident all last summer, so I was a little skeptical about that). It was also the second thing in a row that I brought it in for that they blamed on the accident. They charged me another fortune to replace it, and the entire thing cost me about $400.
Fast forward to the next warm day about two weeks later, and I realized it was still blowing warmish air. Couldn't tell when it was cool outside.
I just saw posts on the forum about the Service Bulletin for updating the A/C Control Unit. Has anyone had their air work/get colder by doing so? Also, how do you know if your car is one of those impacted? I typed in my VIN, but it looks like it's just looking for recalls.
Thanks!
