I know these are more likely to be in place to reduce noise. Im curious if removing these would help underhood air escape out of the fender at speed. Which would help increase air coming into front grill openings for the intake by possibly creating a low pressure zone. similar to the type r fender vent reasons. I know it would'nt be as effective without the vents but it should help even if on a much smaller scale right?

Opinions?

I wonder if you'd get some whistling or something from removing those. Have you looked, are they easy to remove and put back, so just try and see?

They seem to be easy enough. Looks like 1 push pin and they are glued to a ridge. I don't mind an increase in noise so long as it benefits in other areas.

I just saw these today when I was washing the car and wiping down the engine bay. I think they’re actually for down force, they look to channel the air into the cowl, which would put more down force on the hood of the car, and give your AC good air flow.

I doubt anything serious would happen if you take them out, it’s almost like Honda engineered them to “go away” over time. Take them out and see what happens, you can always put them back in easily.

I ended up reinstalling these. They definitely seem to be for sound dampening more than anything else. Could hear my sri more but not worth removing really.
