I ran into this issue and figured I would share my findings since it may come up for someone else with a cvt 10th gen...
Ordered a set of white LED reverse lights from ijdmtoy on amazon. Installed them and went to start my car when suddenly - the rpm and MID went black and my car was undrivable and wouldn’t shift out of park. I own a 2016 Touring coupe for the record and it took me a solid hour to figure out what which fuse correlates to the dash display.
Long story short - one of the reverse light LEDs was defective and blew a fuse for my speedometer/rpms/MID which renders the automatics (presumably the manuals as well) undrivable.
The fuse that needs to be replaced is under “meter” and a 10 amp mini fuse in the interior cabin and is for the dash display. I’ll edit this post once I have the chance to check which exact fuse number it is.
I hope no one else has to deal with this headache in the future and this post is helpful to them!
