Here’s just a fun little poll to see what owners have experienced driving our big winged monsters. Curious to see what the results are! Bonus points if you somehow managed to do all of these things o_O

For every poll option you have experienced/done, you simply select that option, and continue doing it for each of them. If you haven’t experienced it you don’t select it. Easy!

Surprised there aren't too many "tuned the car" yet seeing a lot of folks have Hondata/KTuner.

I think with more participation the numbers will more accurately reflect the CTR experience. Hopefully! 40% grinding a gear (only 8 votes) is not a good sign lol

Is it shocking that I should answer "none of the above"?

I don't really consider a dead pedal plate and window tint to be "aftermarket parts".

Good point. It sucks to see such a high percentage of folks that have grinded gears. I've yet to experience it or maybe I just chose to ignore it or perhaps didn't know I've done it.

You don’t use it as a daily driver but have more than 2000 miles on it? Damn, I couldn’t fit a “none of the above option” in that list unfortunately

I did it the other day and the sound it made was very distinctive. It would make anyone cringe.

It would make sense that you've never been given a thumbs up if you don't daily the car haha.

I drove the car 1k miles home when I first bought it, so it's quite possible to have more than 2k miles if not used as DD.

Ouch! That sucks. Could it be felt? If so, then I think I'd have done it.

You feel it because the gear doesn’t go through the slot smoothly at all, and you hear it more than anything. It’s high pitched and I heard it very clearly even with the windows open and music playing.

This. And when it grinds you can feel the shifter squirm into the gear (at least that’s my experience with it).

I think it’s worse for the transmission and gears/synchros themselves more so than the clutch. From what I read it takes a lot of grinding before you start running into issues... hopefully.

Granted the car looks flashy, it blends in with traffic more than you'd think. It's also quiet (stock) so that also helps it fly under the radar. By the time a cop realizes what just passed him it's probably too late. At night as well, I have trouble differentiating a stock Civic Sport Hatchback from a CTR from the front or back since the spoiler wings look like the C-pillars for whatever reason (from the back) and the spoiler itself is black (mistaken for rear glass).

Edit: so unless you're a lone wolf going much faster than the pack (or just a lone wolf speeding for the sake of speeding), you're probably not going to get pulled. This applies to all cars though.
